AN INTRODUCTION OF ROTARIAN K.G. NAIR

Mr.K.G. Nair was born on 27th September1939, in a traditional Nair family at Changanassery. After completing studies up to intermediate at Changanassery, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering at MIT, Manipal under Udipi District in Karnataka.

After pursuing a short stint in teaching, he worked for 3 years in Canara Springs, one of the Pioneer German Collaboration firms specialised in Leaf Spring Manufacturing. From manufacturing, he moved into Defence Organisation, DRDO & specialized in Sonar equipment development for Indian Navy. After three years exposure in Defence field, he joined as Senior Engineer in Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, under Department of Space, where he extended invaluable contribution for 30 years and superannuated as Senior Scientist at the G Level. He had the good fortune to work and interact closely with our late President Shri Abdul Kalam.
